Danville, IL… State Rep. Mike Marron (R-Fithian) received the endorsement of the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois (AFFI) endorsement this week. Rep. Marron, as a consensus building conservative, is proud of his support of both business and union leaders.
“In the past I have received high ratings from the small business association and Illinois Chamber of Commerce,” said Marron. “It is good to know that when you roll up your sleeves and work hard for the people of your district, both business and union leaders come together to support your reelection. I am very honored by the firefighters’ support.”
The AFFI represents over 15,000 professional firefighters in Illinois. Their legislative committee recently met to discuss legislator voting records and candidate surveys. The AFFI stated in a letter to Rep. Marron that his support of issues affecting professional firefighters in Illinois earned him his endorsement.
“I look forward to continuing bringing business and union leaders together to work towards solutions our state needs,” said Marron.
